Raga the SON is my Producer alias.

Raga is Hindi and stands for a melodic base that is created for others to improvise and express themselves upon.

SON stands for Son Of Nile (إبن النيل ) and is an arabic noun to describe people that come from an area / country that the nile passes through / stems from.
It is a unifying term that connects the people from different countries and different cultures that share the same roots and a connected way of life.

As a producer I love combining my musical influences to create a unique blend of eastern and western music genres
while providing a base that inspires the listeners to drift off in thoughts or artists involved to express themselves.

My main Instrument is guitar but I also play some bass and keys which helps me put my ideas down and then sometimes find other musicians to rerecord some of the ideas and expand on the ideas I recorded.
I often feel like my music becomes more alive when I involve other artists / musicians in the process so I often try to do that.
When I think about the artists I want to collaborate with I often try to involve artists of different cultural and musical backgrounds to create a more diverse and intercultural experience.

I started releasing my own music in 2023 with my good friend Phil Spankler via the HiyaSelf Unlimited Recordings Label by the British Trip Hop producer Nightmares on Wax / Dj Ease and will be releasing new music soon.
